Revived Construction Division has Big Plans for the Future

With over 30 years in the construction industry, Jason Davis is ready to level up SERVPRO Team Meyer’s construction division in 2024. Davis took on the role of Director of Construction in October, and says he hopes to “bring a new beginning” to the division at SERVPRO®.
Prior to his position at SERVPRO, Davis spent two decades in the carpenter's union working on both residential and commercial projects. There, he oversaw multi-million-dollar projects, including Iowa landmarks such as the Art Museum, Oak Noll Retirement Home, U of I Athletic Learning Center, The Pomerantz, parts of the Children's Hospital, and the Pappajohn addition to the University of Iowa Hospital. Davis also owned a business in which the company constructed homes and performed extensive remodels.
Because SERVPRO Team Meyer took a short pause on construction work, Davis looks forward to “raising the bar” in the coming year. The company now has a fully functioning division, led by Davis, that covers all 10 of Team Meyer’s locations. Davis says he has high hopes and big goals for the future.
“I want SERVPRO Team Meyer to become the top remodeling company in the industry,” he says.
Davis understands that construction work following damage restoration has its unique characteristics. Having construction integrated into the restoration company allows the franchise to be a one-stop shop for its customers.
“We’re able to help the customer as a whole because we can offer all service lines to help them complete a project,” he says. “This way, they're not having to search around for other companies...we are start to finish.”
Davis notes that the most enjoyable part about what he does is working with customers. He says he has always been in tune with his clients, and that he prioritizes customer satisfaction. When he completes a job, one of Davis’s favorite things to see is a customer’s face filled with joy and relief, knowing that they hired the right team for the job.
With this new position, one of Davis’s goals is to educate more people on the “why” and “how” of construction and get his team excited about it.
“Just like with any job, if you don't know about it or don't understand it, you won't believe in it,” he says. “So, you gotta get people believing in what you’re doing.”
Beyond Davis’s professional life, he says he finds fulfillment in family time with his five children and wife Michele, as well as golfing and hunting.
SERVPRO Team Meyer is so excited to welcome Jason to our team and to see our construction division thrive.
